About Me

My family's story led me to uncover so many others.

My passion for genealogy began with something deeply personal: my own family's history.

I come from a family of immigrants, with roots stretching across countries, cultures, and generations. On my father's side, I am only a second-generation American. My grandfather was a German citizen, and my journey into genealogical research began with the challenge of locating the historical records my family and I needed to establish our German citizenship by descent.

On my mother's side, my family's Italian heritage offered another remarkable connection to the past. Through extensive genealogical research, members of my family were also able to secure Italian citizenship by descent, demonstrating how historical documents can do more than reveal our ancestry—they can open doors to opportunities that span generations.

My research eventually expanded to my spouse's Canadian ancestry, which reaches back to the early 1800s, long before Canadian Confederation, when much of present-day Canada was still under British colonial rule. What began as an effort to document a family lineage for citizenship-by-descent purposes became one of my most fascinating historical investigations. I found myself immersed in the lives of early British, Canadian, and American settlers, uncovering connections that brought nearly two centuries of family history into focus.

“These experiences transformed what began as a personal endeavor into a genuine passion.”

I discovered that genealogy is about far more than names, dates, and documents. Every ancestor was a real person who faced life's challenges, pursued opportunities, made difficult decisions, and navigated a world very different from our own. Their journeys—whether marked by immigration, hardship, ambition, love, or perseverance—helped shape the lives of the generations that followed.

There is something incredibly rewarding about searching through historical archives, uncovering a long-forgotten record, and realizing that a seemingly ordinary document can hold extraordinary meaning for someone today. Each discovery is another piece of a much larger story.

That passion inspired me to establish Three Rivers Genealogical Services.

My mission is to help others uncover the histories hidden within their own family trees. Whether you're searching for a long-lost ancestor, trying to understand your family's journey across borders, or gathering historical documentation for citizenship by descent, I want to help you discover the people, places, and events that shaped your family's story.

While my personal research has given me particular experience with German, Italian, and Canadian ancestry, my curiosity and dedication to historical discovery extend well beyond those borders. Every family has a unique story worth exploring, regardless of where that story begins.

I believe that understanding where we come from gives us a deeper appreciation of who we are.

At Three Rivers Genealogical Services, I look forward to helping you uncover the remarkable stories of those who came before you—and the extraordinary chain of lives and events that ultimately led to you.
